Coming Home

Today is a bitter sweet day as me and my mom are on a flight to go back home to Georgia. We left Honduras and my mom’s side of the family today, but some of them will soon be joining us in July for vacation. So today is full of stress, airport food and flights, but yesterday was full of fun and shopping. For our last full day in Honduras my mom and cousin A, she wanted her name to stay out of the blog, decided to take me to an exposition/fair to see what their fairs are like. Baby Shower and 21st Birthday Celebration

So, the past 2 day have been very busy and eventful. My mom and I are getting ready to leave Honduras and to head back to Georgia this week, so my family decided to throw some parties. Yesterday my aunt put together a birthday party for her son, who was turning 4. The birthday started around 5 in the afternoon, but the party didn't stop until 3 in the morning since we were all drinking and having fun dancing with the music. She is 6 months pregnant but wanted to go ahead and do her shower since my mom and I were here and won't be able to celebrate when she has the baby. We played multiple games to win prizes and had a lot of laughs. We even had some fun family drama because my cousins cheated in one of the games and my family of course
This summer I got to go to Honduras with my mother to see my family. We have been here for a month now and have done some pretty great things. When we come to Honduras we usually live separately due to living arrangements and resources. My mom stays with my grandma at her home while I stay at my aunt's house with my little cousins. I choose to stay here because they have air conditioning, wifi and my favorite little cousin, whom I love as a sister. The house is a two story house with a big yard and is in a gated community. I love being able to stay with my family, but I honestly dislike not being able to stay with my mom and her not have air conditioning and wifi like I do.  So far the trip has been fun and simple. I have gone to the malls here and done some shopping and seen some interesting things. The way of life in Honduras is very different from what I am used to since I am from Georgia, but it is also very exciting for me. When I am here in Honduras I don't have to worr
