Coming Home

Today is a bitter sweet day as me and my mom are on a flight to go back home to Georgia. We left Honduras and my mom’s side of the family today, but some of them will soon be joining us in July for vacation. So today is full of stress, airport food and flights, but yesterday was full of fun and shopping. For our last full day in Honduras my mom and cousin A, she wanted her name to stay out of the blog, decided to take me to an exposition/fair to see what their fairs are like.

The fair was full of rides, concert areas, food stands, and 3 building full of vendors selling their items. We focused on the vendors since we had to buy presents to bring back to family members and friends in Georgia, plus most of the rides weren’t functioning at the time that we were at the fair. The vendors in the buildings sold countless thing from candy to handmade shoes, jewelry, clothes and more. My favorite vendors are the ones that sell handmade shoes, jewelry, clothes and home accessories. There are also vendors that sell many things that look like they are from the United States, but they are fake. For example, there were venders that sold fake Micheal Kores purses, Naked pallets and so much more that are popular in the United States.

The vendors that sell the imitations make them look so real that you think they are authentic until you look for the small signs that our things in the United States have to make sure an item is authentic. We didn’t buy very much, but had a nice time looking at everything. My mom bought handmade jewelry for her friends and bought me a pair of gold sparkly shoes. I bought handmade jewelry for my friends as well since those are the easiest to transport when traveling. After that we just went home and prepared our things for the flight today and went to bed so we could rest before a full day of traveling and running through airports.

P.S. Sorry I don't have pictures, with the past 2 crazy days I forgot to take pictures.
